It’s All About The Bean had its origin in Bennington, VT in 2010 as the name of a small business that roasted their own coffee beans in a coffee shop. After a few years it transferred its business to an online platform for a year then relocated to Pennsylvania and is now a hobby by its founder and master coffee roaster, Dominic Murgido.
All of the coffee beans are personally roasted in small batches to ensure freshness and quality. When ordering, please know that we take pride in providing you with the best coffee so be patient as you wait for the arrival of the freshest roasted coffee…ever.

Coffee trees grow today as they have for centuries in the Ethiopian highlands where the legend of Kaldi, the goat herder, originated. Though we will never know with certainty, there probably is some truth to the Kaldi legend.
It is said that he discovered coffee after noticing that his goats, upon eating berries from a certain tree, became so spirited that they did not want to sleep at night.
Kaldi dutifully reported his findings to the abbot of the local monastery who made a drink with the berries and discovered that it kept him alert for the long hours of evening prayer. Soon the abbot had shared his discovery with the other monks at the monastery, and ever so slowly knowledge of the energizing effects of the berries began to spread. As word moved east and coffee reached the Arabian Peninsula, it began a journey which would spread its reputation across the globe.
Today coffee is grown in a multitude of countries around the world. Whether it is Asia or Africa, Central or South America, the islands of the Caribbean or Pacific, all can trace their heritage to the trees in the ancient coffee forests on the Ethiopian plateau.
All coffee is packaged as 1 lb (16 oz) in a heat sealed re-closeable bag for freshness.
All coffee is $15.00 per pound. Shipping NOT included. Coffee list subject to change with availability of coffee.
The only way to get it fresher is to visit the plantation where it’s grown -Bruce Evey
Colombian Supremo
Supremo is the highest grade of Colombian coffee beans. This is the coffee that off-the-shelf brands are trying to emulate when they offer “100% Colombian” blends, and not one of them comes close to the quality of a fresh roasted Colombian Supremo bean. These large beans create a medium bodied and sweet tasting coffee with a rich flavor and aroma.
Costa Rican/Brazilian/Colombian Decaffeinated
Depending on availability we usually carry one of these as our decaf offerings. All are single origin coffees using the swiss water process to extract the caffeine from the bean. Brazil offers a classic profile of a bean whereas Costa Rica has a full bodied taste that rivals other countries. Colombian provides a rich flavor.
Guatemalan
From the volcanic southern regions of Guatemala. This coffee has a spicy flavor with a fair amount of acidity, and can be quite strong. This bean is a popular choice to make some of my signature blends. It is diverse in taste and provides perfect match ups to other beans.
Brazil Santos
Brazil is the largest coffee producer in the world, and offers beans to fit just about every taste. Brazil Santos is typified with a very mild body and low acidity. One of my favorites.
Ethiopian
Ethiopian beans feature a fragrant aroma with hints of citrus and floral undertones. The subtle fruity taste of this bean is accompanied by a moderate acidity and light body. One of my favorites.

A true gentle classic, Honduras Copan has lively flavors, but is light in acidity. Praline, and mellow fruit flavors elevate this soft and round tasting coffee.
